Walk-In Location Fees

Discount pricing for notarization, commissioning or certification of more than one document by the same person, on the same day, at the same walk-in location:

  • 1st Notarization / Commission / Certification / Exhibit: $49.00 + tax
  • 2nd Notarization / Commission / Certification / Exhibit: $12.00 + tax

Each additional Notarization, Commission, Certification, or Exhibit will be $12 + tax.

By Appointment Location Fees

Discount pricing for notarization, commissioning or certification of more than one document:

  • 1st Notarization / Commission / Certification / Exhibit: $59.00 + tax
  • 2nd Notarization / Commission / Certification / Exhibit: $25.00 + tax

Each additional Notarization, Commission, Certification, Exhibit will be $1 less than the previous down to a minimum of $9.00 + tax.

Online Commissioning Fees

Certified True Copies

E-Document Certification

Certified Copy of Electronic Documents: $75.00 +tax

This includes sealing through the printed copy of the online document, as well as attaching a Notarial Certificate.

Certified Copy of Passport (including every page)

Flat rate for a certified copy of a standard Canadian passport or the equivalent (includes sealing through every page):

Statutory Declaration in lieu of guarantor for the Passport Application

Mobile Notary Service

Mobile Notary Services (where available):

From $199.00 + notarization fees and tax. Additional fees for waiting time beyond 10 minutes may apply if documents and/or persons signing the documents are not ready at the appointment time. Please note that the mobile notarization fee will be applied even if the notarization cannot be performed for reasons beyond Red Seal Notary's control, such as the legal incapacity of any signing party.

Apostille Services

Note: Shipping fees to our Ottawa office and to you are additional, including a $50 Runner fee for deliveries and pickups at Government offices, Consulates and Embassies. If you have an account with a shipping company, please provide us with this number. Bank service charges to obtain money orders or certified cheques to pay for government stamps are additional. Any translation or stamp amounts of $250.00 and or more will be charged to your credit card during the process and an administration fee will be applied. Tax is additional to all fees.

Note: In the rare circumstance where documents are declined by a government office, a fee of $100.00 will be applied to your bill for services rendered such as researching and obtaining information, trips made to the bank, consulate/embassy, and time spent trying to obtain Consular approval.

Please ensure if your document(s) requires witnesses that you bring them with you, and ensure that they bring photo identification as well. You should check the instructions with your documents and/or with your counsel for witness requirements. Generally, witnesses must be of age in your jurisdiction and not involved in the matters addressed in the documents.

Please Note: Witnesses are not reliably available at our locations. Please bring your own or call ahead to check availability at the location you will attend and for the documents you have.

Witnesses may be provided for limited documents by staff at our 25 Adelaide Street location in Toronto during weekdays from 10 am to 3 pm. If this is available, we charge $12 + HST for each signature. This fee does not apply when you bring your own witnesses. Staff cannot be coerced to act as witnesses for any particular document. It is strongly recommended that you bring your own.
